23 ¶ Unto [a]Damascus he saith, Hamath is confounded and Arpad, for they have heard evil tidings, and they are faint hearted as one on the fearful sea that can not rest:

24 Damascus is discouraged, and turneth herself to flight, [b]and fear hath seized her: anguish and sorrows have taken her as a woman in travail.

25 How is the glorious [c]city not reserved, the city of my joy?
